Drinking Water for Ukraine
Dear friends,
The collapse of the Nova Kakhovka dam in Ukraine on June 6, 2023 has resulted in a devastating flood, impacting tens of thousands of human lives and numerous communities. People have already suffered the devastating impacts of the Russian aggression and are now displaced from their homes; many have lost their houses and belongings with the flood waters. The health risks for affected people could increase in the coming weeks and there is an urgent need for clean drinking water.
It is highly likely that the collapse of the Nova Kakhovka dam was caused by explosives planted by Russians, a team of legal experts said in preliminary findings on 16 June, 2023.
The short-term dangers can be seen from outer space — tens of thousands of parcels of land flooded, and more to come. Experts say the long-term consequences will be generational.
American Georgians for Progress has launched a drive to raise funds to help the affected communities with drinking water. The funds will be transferred to charities assisting local communities in need.
Urgent action is needed. Please spread the word, reach out to friends and family to help Ukrainians in need of drinking water.
